Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 27

Here is my entry for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #27. You needed to use cream, purple and green and follow the inspiration of pictures listed on their site. It reminded me of springtime back in Wisconsin growing up. This is one of the first times that I have used my Gypsy to weld letters and make the shadows for is as well. Hope you like it.

I used the Gypsy Font for the wording
Card stock --- cream is from Joanns, green and purple from Bazzill, patterned is from DCWV Latte matstack
Ribbon --- Sheerly Yours from Offray
Stickles --- Lavender
Stitching and dots made with a gel pen from Staples

Gift Bag and matching card

Here is a gift bag and matching card that I made for my Mom's birthday. I had to wait until after I gave it to her to post because she checks my blog!! First try at making a gift bag in this way. It actually was quite easy. Lacework is MS punch and the wording is from the Stamping Solutions cartridge. I used Stickles to add a little bling to it. (The gift bag had 2 bottle of wine in it, hence the wine theme on the card!)

Here is the last of the Card Swap Cards

Here is the card I made from Joan's scraps (that I got yesterday). These swaps are always fun, but can definitely be challenging. I used a piece of the mat paper that I trimmed off on the flap of the envelope. Never did that before, but I think it looks pretty good!

Thanks Ladies! This was fun!

Cards for a Scrap Swap

I belong to a small group of ladies that exchange scraps periodically to make cards or scrapbook pages or whatever. This time it was to make Mother's Day cards. It is very interesting how different the cards can be using the same scraps and/or cutouts from Cricut.

Anyway, here are the 3 cards that I have done so far. The one in all pink is the one I made from my scraps. Not sure how I feel about it, but here it is anyway. The butterfly one is from Carri's scraps and the one with the fans is from Allison's scraps. If you want their blog addresses, just let me know and I can forward it to you.

Let me know what you think.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #21

Here is my entry for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #21. You had to do a get well card from any cartridge you choose.

This is a very, very simple card with only 2 cuts. Both of the cuts are from Lyrical Letters. I can honestly say that I have not really used this cartridge alot, but after looking around for something to use on this card, I will be using this cart more. The white cardstock is from Georgia Pacific and the red and black papers are from Joanns. I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper from We R Memory Keepers. The faux stitching and dots are using gel pens.

This is my first entry for Cricut Cardz Challenge. Hope you like it! Let me know what you think.

Monogram Notecards

My mom asked me to make some note cards for her to give as a gift. I made the cards using Mini Monograms for the circle and a Fiskars border punch. I can't remember who makes the stamp, but I bought it on clearance from Joanns. The H is cut from Plantin Schoolbook. The paper was from a paper package that I bought at Costco.

I had seen a video online (sorry, I can't remember where and who did it) to make the box for the cards. I was able to save one piece for the cover of the box. I think it turned out pretty good for the first time making it!

Update: It was Creative Critter Tammy Skinner at www.cricutcritters.com where I found the video on how to make the card box. Thanks Tammy!

Well, off to the CK convention in Mesa. Going to the Vendor Faire. Will add more after shopping!

Thank you and Congrats cards

Here are some cards I made for people that help me out in everyday life. The first one is for my nail tech, who always makes my hands look good. And the second one is for my hairdresser who opened a new salon last week.
Have a great day!

New Face Stamps from Peachy Keen

I just got some face stamps from Peachy Keen stamps and just had to try them out. I made this quick (and I mean quick) card before running off to do some errands yesterday. Isn't she cute?? Kind of reminds me of growing up and going to the lake.

Here is my new blog!

My best friend always calls me scraptastic or craftastic so I thought what better name for a blog than that! Here is the first card that I have sent in for a challenge. It is for the Pink Stamper. I love her!!! She is the best. What an inspiration. Let me know what you think about the card. I will post more when I learn how to use this blog thing! Thanks.
