This week, our Paper Vineyard Design Team topic was the Magic of Oz with Graphic 45's new paper line of the same name. I must admit that this one scared me a bit. I just wasn't sure what to make. Well, after searching through my ever growing stash, I found a frame that I had bought at Hobby Lobby a while back. It seemed the perfect base for this project. I didn't have a picture to use in the frame, so I cut the Wicked Witch of the West from one of the papers and put her in the frame. I think it turned out pretty good. I guess I need to step out of my comfort zone more often!
And can you believe it?? 2 weeks in a row and NO Cricut! At least for the design team. I have been working on other projects though. I went to an all day crop on Saturday (Thanks Becky), and a mini book class at Paper Vineyard on Sunday (Thanks Dana). It was a great crafting weekend for me!
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think. Have a great week!!
Marijo, this rocks! And it's SOOOO hysterical that you popped in the Wicked Witch of the West in a frame that says heart and courage on it! hahahahahahahaha. This is the frame that her mother would own.... hahahahahahhhahahhaha!!!!!

This turned out so great - I wouldn't have guessed it was outside of your comfort zone - you totally rocked it! Love that background paper (I think it might be my favorite pattern in the whole line - so lovely and vintage) and the way you've distressed the edges - and your flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDidn't you love that mini book class? I went on Saturday! I'm going to post it after I finish with pictures :o)
