Thank you Card

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while, but have been extremely busy working at my new job. I love it and am glad to have found work with such a wonderful company.

This week the challange at Paper Vineyard was to use a Thank You stamp from Impression Obsession. I also used paper from the Graphic 45 Tropical Traveloque line, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die and Tea Dye Distress Stain, Versamark Ink and clear embossing powder.
Hope you like it. If you are in the area, stop in to Paper Vineyard to check out the store. They are always getting new things in. See you soon!

Another project for Paper Vineyard

Hello all, hope you are having a great week. This weeks project was to utilize a word that was custom cut by Grapevine Designs at Paper Vineyard. I had them cut "Swartz" and I made a sign for my house with it.I used Tim Holtz Distress Coredinations paper, a dollar store frame, and black vinyl that I cut with my Cricut Expression. I have always wanted one of these signs in our house and this was just the excuse to make one. Let me know what you think. I love reading your comments.

Oh yeah, on another note.............I got a job!! I start today and it is only 10 minutes from my house! It has been a LONG 10 months of being unemployed. I got a lot of crafting done, but it's time to get back to work. I need a job to support my crafting habit!!!

Hope you all have a great week. I know I will!

Sizzix week at Paper Vineyard

Okay, so our topic this week for the Paper Vineyard Design Team was to use ONLY Sizzix die cut/embossing products. THIS WAS VERY HARD FOR ME!! I am a Cricut girl and found it very difficult not to go to my Cricut for shapes/letters etc to do my project.

So, here is what I came up with. I didn't actually use any die cuts on this 12x12 scrapbook page. I used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folders of the King/Queen/Jack cards, embossing them on lightweight metal from QuicKuts. I then used my Sharpie markers to highlight the embossed areas. The Keno balls and the dice were hand cut. The pictures were from a trip to Las Vegas that my husband and I made a few years ago.

Here is a close up of the embossed lightweight metal.

Hope you like it! Have a great week!

Centerpiece for a birthday party

Hello everyone, Happy Monday!

I wanted to share a centerpiece I made for a birthday party for an 11 year old. she loves yellow and I made these rosettes using the Tim Holtz die from Sizzix and 3 different yellow printed papers. I also used some Peachy Keen face stamps as well as some other stamps from my stash!
Also, we made crafts at the party and I taught the girls how to make a nameplate for their desks. Thanks to Creations with Christina for the tutorial on how to make the base of the nameplates. Her tutorial used crackle paint but since I didn't have that kind of time (to let the paint dry, etc.), I covered the nameplates with paper and put a strip over the corners to cover them. I let each girl pick out her papers, flowers, and bling. Here is how they turned out. I love how different they all are and what each girl brought to the table. They all did a great job! Thanks for looking. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Have a great week!

Tim Holtz Inspired project for Paper Vineyard

Hi Everyone,

This weeks project for Paper Vineyard scrapbook store was to make a Tim Holtz inspired project. Since Tim's style and products are all distress/vintage items, I decided to make a printers tray showcasing a few photos of my husband's family. I have never made a totally vintage project before so this was a bit out of my comfort zone. But I do like the way it turned out. And so does my husband. He now says we have to take it with us when we go back to Pennsylvania to visit so the rest of the family can see it too!
This is a close up of where I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to staple the ribbon and paper.
Let me know what you think. I hope everyone has a great week!

Paper Vinyard DT - Alcohol Inks

Hello everyone,

This weeks "assignment" was to work with Alcohol Inks. To tell you the truth, this is one thing that I have never tried before. It is pretty cool but I have a lot more to learn about using them. We were supposed to make a altered/distressed item using the inks, but I didn't have anything that I could alter/distress. So I went to what I know best, making a card using them. The recipe for this card is:
Cardstock - Joanns
White Gloss Paper - Inkssentials
Alcohol Inks - Tim Holtz Adirondack Inks in Sail Boat Blue and Citrus
Flowers - Prima sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist
Brads - from my stash
"Thank you" stamp - from the $1 bin at Michaels

Remember, this is my first try with the inks so keep checking back, because I KNOW I will be making more projects using them! Thank you for visiting my blog and don't forget to check out the Paper Vineyard blog to see the projects from the rest of the team.

Have a great week!

Paper Vineyard Design Team "Let's go to the Circus!"

So the theme this week for the Paper Vineyard Design Team is
"Let's go to the Circus!"
And we were challenged to use Graphic 45 products. Well, that part was easy! Graphic 45 has a whole line of paper called Le Cirque Collection. May I say "AWESOME!"
Here is the tag that I made. I used Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge to cut out the tag and then I covered it with the Graphic 45 paper. Then, I used another one of their papers that looks like it has stamps all over it, cut them apart and layered them to give dimension. The Circus Spectacular ticket was cut from another paper from this same line. I added buttons with embroidery floss (from Michaels), and some ribbon. I attached the ribbon with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. Awesome tool by the way. I got it at Paper Vineyard on competitor coupon day. The store honors Michaels, Joanns, and Hobby Lobby coupons on the first and third Friday of the month (April 1st and 15th). Cool, huh?!

Stop in the store sometime. They have some great stuff in there that you don't find at the big, box stores. And remember to take advantage of their competitor coupon day.

Have a great week!

Exciting News!!!

Hello all,

I have such exciting news! I have been asked to join the design team for Paper Vineyard, a local scrapbook store. It is the coolest store! It is in Chandler, AZ on Alma School Rd between Ray Rd and Chandler Blvd. They carry the best papers, tools, embellishments, etc. You can find things here that the big box stores just don't carry. All those things that you have seen from the CHA postings on the web. Well, they are already getting some of those items in. They had a Make and Take last night and I went in and made the cutest tone on tone card. And got to use some new products that I was not familiar with. Be careful though, they are enablers!!!

So, today is my first project for the design team. It was "Tag You're It!". Make a tag using Teresa Collins paper and Blingage. Well, I have never made a tag before so this was quite the challenge for me.The recipe for the card is:
Paper and bling - Teresa Collins (paper from the Posh line)
Die cut (Girls Rock) - Cricut Rock Princess cartridge
Wings - Tim Holtz grungeboard with silver/black inking
Flowers - Prima Essentials
Ribbon - can't remember who makes it!

Hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Don't forget to check out the blog and website for Paper Vineyard. They offer some great classes and have the best supplies in the world! Have a great week!
